I lived in Robson with my brother for a year--1981-82. Is the dam still up crossing the river and has the ferry expanded?? Tried to look for pictures of them, but couldn't find any on this site. Also, my uncle used to own the Shell station in China Creek--spent many summers there growing up!! Hope to make a trip that way soon--will sure bring up alot of good memories!!

Was my first time to Castlegar and I expected to find a small town in the middle of nowhere. Guess what, that is what I found, and that is why it rocks! Not mention friendly people!

hoping to visit end of August to check out the area in hopes of living in Castlegar and opening a daycare or pre-school as I am in school to obtain a diploma as an Early Childhood Educator. Very interested in New Agey stuff, art, djembe drum groups and organic gardening/foods and meeting people who love to play on this earth. Aloha Everyone!
