Temporary Changes to Traffic Pattern at 24th Street & Columbia Ave.
As part of the Park Place development by Nexus Development Group, there will be temporary changes to traffic patterns at 24th Street and Columbia Avenue, beginning Monday, October 24, 2022.
This includes the temporary closure of some streets.
Right Turn Lane Onto 24th Street from Columbia Avenue
The closure will be clearly marked and traffic turning right onto 24th Avenue off Columbia Avenue will be able to turn onto 23rd Street.
Sidewalk on 24th Street, Between Columbia Avenue and 6th Avenue
During the closure, a pedestrian and bike lane will be delineated on the north shoulder of 24th Street, across from the construction site and a temporary crossing on the north side of the intersection of 24th Street and 6th Avenue. If pedestrians and bikers prefer to avoid the construction area, they can use 23rd Street and the west side of Columbia Avenue.
These closures are required to allow the safe flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic around the work area and excavation activities.
The closures are expected to remain in place until the end of 2022 when the contractor expects to have the foundation constructed.
