The City of Castlegar owns and operates Castlegar Park Memorial Cemetery, providing several options for burials and interment of cremated remains.

Cemetery Options
In-Ground Full Burial
Castlegar Park Memorial Cemetery has standard and double-deep plots available. These can accommodate one or two caskets respectively, as well as space for three cremated remains.
In-Ground Cremated Remains Plot
Castlegar Park Memorial Cemetery’s in-ground plots can accommodate up to two cremated remains.
Columbarium
Castlegar Park Memorial Cemetery has a columbarium which accommodates above-ground interment of cremated remains. Each ‘niche’ within the columbarium can accommodate one urn.
Ossuary
Castlegar Park Memorial Cemetery has two ossuaries available for cremated remains. An ossuary is an above-ground structure for the shared interment of cremated remains. One of the two ossuaries is reserved for Veterans.
Opening & Closing
Interments are generally scheduled Monday to Friday, between 7:30 am – 2:30 pm (excluding Holidays). Weekend and Holiday interments are possible depending on staff availability, and an additional fee.
