Outdoor Skating Rinks
Castlegar’s outdoor skating rinks are free to use and located at the backside of Kinnaird Park, 2501 14th Avenue.
Civic Works
With colder temperatures, Castlegar’s outdoor community rinks become open for skating and hockey. Both rinks normally remain open as long as the temperatures stay at or below freezing. When open, the skating rink hours are from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm every day and are lit during the evening hours.
The rinks may close from time-to-time, according to weather conditions or maintenance needs. Notifications as to the rinks status will be posted on the City’s Facebook page and website.
Rink Rules
- Hockey is only permitted on the hockey rink. Rinks are clearly marked.
- No sticks or pucks on the regular rink.
- Rinks cannot be booked for events.
