The City of Castlegar has received an application to place a 90 square metre (965 square feet) modular building (labelled ‘Proposed Portable’ on attached Site Plan) at 649 7th Avenue with a 1.5 metre (4.9 feet) setback from the front property line, rather than the 6.0 metres (19.7 feet) required by Bylaw 8090 – Zoning. For the project to proceed, Council must approve a Development Variance Permit.
