City of Castlegar Seeking To Grow Local Arts Scene

The City of Castlegar is open for business and offering an open door to musicians and artists seeking affordable studio space.

Artists and musicians are being hit particularly hard in major cities like Vancouver where studio space is becoming increasingly more expensive. Organizations like The Red Gate Arts Society in Vancouver are struggling to find affordable studio space along with space for their art gallery, darkroom, workshop facilities, exhibitions and more. Castlegar, based in the West Kootenay of BC aims to change this.
