City Reopens Millennium Park Natural Ponds & Kinsmen Splash Park

The City of Castlegar has reopened the popular Millennium Park natural ponds and Kinsmen Splash Park.

The natural ponds include a beach and three swimming areas on the Columbia River to enjoy. The top pond is designed for use by youngsters and their families, the middle pond is designed for teenagers and adults, and the bottom pond has a small waterslide. Each pond is surrounded by a nice sandy beach. Millennium Park includes a concession, sports fields, outdoor workout area, dog park, bike park, camas conservation area, and beach volleyball, pickleball, and tennis courts.

Kinsmen splash park is a great park to cool off during hot days with a large water spray park. Kinsmen Park also has a children's play area with slides, swings, and a jungle gym, open green space, picnic tables, and bathroom facilities.
