New Healthcare Services in Castlegar

The City is pleased the Kootenay’s first urgent and primary care centre (UPCC) is coming to Castlegar. The UPCC will help connect patients with the health care they need right here in our community and means:

• shorter waits for appointments
• access to services if you don’t have a family practitioner
• urgent care without emergency room waits
• more health care practitioners in the community

The face of healthcare is changing and the City is excited the West Kootenay is transitioning to team-based models early. Collaboration is now the key to success and working together will bring big benefits to patients and healthcare providers in our community.
