NOTICE OF SEWER LINE MAINTENANCE

The City of Castlegar will be performing routine flushing of our sanitary sewer mains during the week of April 8, 2019 to remove grit, sand, gravel and greases.

This is a preventative maintenance operation that helps to prevent sewer blockages, odour generation and premature wear of mechanical components.

Work will be performed from 20th Street all the way north to 3rd Street.

This work will not affect the majority of homeowners or cause any disruption to service.  The cleaning process uses a high pressure water jet to scour the pipe clean and it is recommended that residents keep their toilet seats down while not in use to prevent small water spills.
