NOTICE OF STREET SWEEPING

The City is currently street sweeping over the next few weeks in both the north and south ends (weather & equipment dependent) on a priority street basis.  Due to the long winter and ice events there was more sand used and so more to pick up this year.

Signage will be placed on streets scheduled to be swept the day ahead and the City requests residents with off street parking to move all vehicles off of the road on these days to facilitate effective and efficient street scraping, sweeping and washing.  

Columbia Avenue street sweeping from 17th Street to Minto Road is done by YRB (the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure highway maintenance contractor).  For more information on when this section of Columbia Avenue will be swept, you can contact YRB directly at 250-693-5609 or boundary@yrb.ca
