Pitch-in, Clean-up Castlegar April 18-26 & Win Prizes!

2021 is the 54th Annual Pitch-In Canada week-long community clean-up event. This year's event takes place April 18-26 and Castlegar is participating for the 4th year.

Pitch-In Canada is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and sustainable growth of our natural ecosystems and communities and represents hard working community volunteers who clean up garbage in their communities to show community pride and to ensure that garbage doesn't end up polluting our beautiful ecosystem.

Millions of volunteers have participated in this event nation-wide and have cleaned up over 5 million pounds of litter and we hope Castlegarians will get involved! 

Pitch-In garbage bags are available at both City Hall and Civic Works offices, free of charge and Waste Management has donated a large dumpster where garbage can be dropped off during the event which will be in the parking lot of the Pioneer Arena.
