PUBLIC NOTICE - CITY WIDE WATER INTERRUPTION
To All Residents of the City of Castlegar
The City of Castlegar will be performing water system maintenance work. Due to this maintenance work, the City of Castlegar’s main water supply will be shut down for one night starting at 6:00 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2017 until 6:00 am on Friday, November 3, 2017. This planned maintenance work is taking place to ensure the reliability of the City’s water system.
Due to the length of the shut down we ask all residents to limit water consumption to essential use only during this time. This will help ensure that adequate water is available for fire fighting purposes.
Water supply for domestic use will NOT be affected.
You may experience some loss of water pressure or discolouration during and after this work. If you do, please run your outdoor tap for 15-20 minutes to flush out any sediment. If low pressure or disolouration persists after that time, please contact City Hall at 250-365-7227 or Civic Works at 250-365-5979.
