PUBLIC NOTICE - WATER SHUT DOWN
To All Residents of the City of Castlegar
Due to Zellstoff / Celgar’s annual pumping systems maintenance, the City of Castlegar’s main water supply will be shut down from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Zellstoff / Celgar’s planned maintenance work is taking place to ensure the reliability of water pumps.
Due to the length of the shut down we ask all residents to turn off all residential and commercial irrigation systems. In addition we ask all citizens to limit water consumption to essential use only during this time. This will help insure that adequate water is available for fire fighting purposes. Water supply for domestic use will NOT be affected.
You may experience some loss of water pressure during and after this work. If you have questions, please contact City Hall at 250-365-7227 or Civic Works at 250-365-5979.
