Water Restrictions in Effect June 15 - September 15

Summer presents problems for Castlegar’s water system when daily residential water use can increase by as much as 200 %, primarily because of lawn and garden watering and car washing.

Excessive water use can impact the City's main water supply and storage for ﬁreﬁghting purposes so it's important water sprinkling and car washing is restricted to every second day between June 15 and September 15 and only between 5 to 11 am and 5 to 11 pm.

Residents at odd number addresses water on odd number calendar days.

Residents at even number addresses water on even number calendar days.
