The City of Castlegar is committed to the safety, security and survival of our youth community. We work with community members and organizations to enhance the quality of life of our youth and their families.

Kootenay Family Place

The Kootenay Family Place was established in 1972 and is a non-profit, charitable organization accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Faclities (CARF).  

Kootenay Family Place is 100% inclusive and accessible to all Castlegar youth ages 9-18. Some of their outstanding work includes:

  • Child care programs
  • Early intervention programs
  • Therapy services
  • One on one support
  • Workshops

Blueberry Creek Community School

Blueberry Creek Community School (BCCS Hub) is a non profit charity dedicated to supporting families and community through quality childcare, educational and lifestyle services and events.
