Sculpturewalk

Sculpturewalk

The City of Castlegar is affectionately known as the “Sculpture Capital of Canada”, largely due to its annual Sculpturewalk - an annual outdoor exhibit of original sculptures by local and international artists.

Held from May to October each year, up to 30 pieces are displayed throughout Castlegar’s downtown core. Chosen via public ballot, the winning sculpture is purchased by the City of Castlegar for the growing permanent collection. Other works are available for private sale or lease.

Sculpturewalk has expanded! The cities of Rossland, Nelson, Creston and Penticton have all added sculptures from the Castlegar Sculpturewalk to grace their cities and to follow our tradition of integrating outstanding works of art into public spaces.

Come to downtown Castlegar and experience this inspiring collection of artistry for yourself.
