Volunteer Opportunities
The City of Castlegar invites residents to get involved with their local government by applying to volunteer on Council-appointed boards or committees.
The City recognizes that as a way of soliciting public input, and in order to fulfill obligations under the Local Government Act, the Community Charter and City of Castlegar Bylaws, Council can appoint members of the community to various Boards and Committees.
In accordance with the Council Appointments Policy 1-7, each year in September the City advertises in local media a request for persons interested in volunteering to serve on Council appointed Boards or Committees.
