Adopt-a-Road Program
Adopt-a-Road invites individuals, families, businesses, community groups, schools, and clubs to help keep road rights-of-way and boulevards clear of litter. It offers a way for environmentally conscious residents to contribute to a cleaner, more attractive community and reduce hazards caused by roadside debris.
Civic Works
Established in 2006, the program continues to benefit from dedicated volunteers. The city is divided into sections that participants may adopt for one year, committing to at least two cleanups annually. After completing your first cleanup and logging it with the City, volunteers receive recognition with signs installed at either end of their adopted area.
For persons wishing to participate in the Adopt-a-Road program, please complete the Adopt-a-Road Program Application and Adopt-a-Road Program Release of Liability Form and forward them to the Civic Works Department at civicworks@castlegar.ca. If you want to share photos of your cleanups, please also complete the Adopt-a-Road Program Photo and Video Consent Form. For further information, contact the Civic works Department at 250-365-5979.
