Notice of Weed Control at Ballfields Starting June 24, 2023
As per the City of Castlegar Pest Management Program, the City is planning on treating weeds and vegetation at the following ballfields:
- Pony Field – June 24, 2023
- Mosquito Field – June 24, 2023
Sports field user groups will be given advance notice of treatment prior to application. Weed control in these areas will be completed with a product called Trillion (2,4-D, Mecoprop-P, Dicamba).
Signage will be placed on these sites and remain in place once applied, as treated areas should be avoided for 48 hours after treatment.
