2024 Tax Sale Cancelled
The City of Castlegar is pleased to advise that all delinquent taxes have been paid, and as a result, the City will not be holding a tax sale this year.
Pursuant to the Community Charter and the Local Government Act, the City of Castlegar published notice of the time and place of the 2024 tax sale along with the legal description and street address of properties subject to tax sale.
Typically, a tax sale is held on the last Monday of September at 10:00 a.m. in each municipality across British Columbia. Since this year’s tax sale would have fallen on September 30, a statutory holiday, it was scheduled to take place on Monday, October 7, 2024. However, all delinquent taxes have been paid, and the 2024 tax sale is no longer required.
