Notice of Weed Control – Hard Surfaces & Sidewalks Starting July 16th, 2026
As per the City of Castlegar Integrated Pest Management Plan, the City will be undertaking weed control starting July 16, 2026 at the following areas:
- Traffic islands
- City sidewalks
- City owned parking lots
Areas will be treated anytime on or after July 16th weather permitting.
Weed control in these areas will be completed with a product called Mungers Horticultural Vinegar (acetic acid). No signage will be placed on treated areas.
