Canada Day Event

We have a lot to celebrate – join City of Castlegar Mayor and Council on Monday, July 1 for free activities to celebrate Canada Day, Millennium Park & Ponds’ 10th Anniversary and experience Canada’s tallest castle play structure.


Location

Millennium Park & Ponds (located at 100 5th Street, Castlegar, BC). Please bring chairs and water bottles.

Noon to 4 p.m.

  • Music in the park
  • Free hot dogs, hamburgers, and Canada Day cake

After Dark

  • Movie in the park – Inside Out

All Day

  • Visit the beach and swim Millennium’s Natural Ponds
  • Play on Canada’s tallest castle play structure and enjoy the park

Getting there

A free shuttle bus hosted by MTI will pick up and drop off at the Castlegar & District Recreation Centre and the Station Museum. The bus will then head to Millennium Park & Ponds every 30 minutes.

Day shuttle times: First pick-up at 11:30 a.m. at the Castlegar & District Recreation Complex and then on to Station Museum and then Millennium Park & Ponds. The last departure will leave Millennium Park & Ponds at 4:30 p.m.

Evening shuttle times: First pick-up at 8:30 p.m. at the Castlegar & District Recreation Complex and then on to Station Museum and then Millennium Park & Ponds. The last departure will leave Millennium Park & Ponds around 10:30 p.m., after the movie in the park finishes.
